Method of NEBOSH IGC Exam/Assessment:
The exam of this nebosh course consists of two key components:
NEBOSH IGC-Unit IG1 (Theory Assessment)
This is the first part of nebosh igc exam which is an open-book exam to be completed online via the NEBOSH exam portal. This is designed to test your ability to apply theoretical health and safety knowledge to workplace scenarios. On exam day you will have 24 hours to complete and submit your responses. After submission, an interview will be conducted to discuss your answers and ensure authenticity.
Unit IG2 (Practical Assessment)
The second part of the nebosh igc exam involves conducting a risk assessment of your workplace to practically apply your health and safety knowledge. This task can be completed either at your place of work or remotely and must be submitted by email within 10 days of completing the Nebosh IGC IG1 exam. The IG2 assessment is marked as either a pass or refer (fail).
To successfully earn the NEBOSH IGC, candidates must pass both IG1 and IG2. The overall grade is determined by your IG1 score as below:
